We’ve reviewed all the entries, compared your predictions with the data from the Department of Elections, and can announce that Hope Johnson has taken first place in our “Best Political Mind in San Francisco” contest. More than two months before the election, Hope correctly predicted all the Supervisorial race outcomes, and did so with greater accuracy than her competition. Amazingly, Hope predicted three of the seven Supervisorial races within one point of accuracy.
Jason Fried finishes second to Hope in our main contest, and wraps up third place as well by correctly predicting fourteen out of the fifteen races for Supervisor, College Board and School Board. Hope wins $500, and Jason $350. Congratulations to you both - and thank you for helping us raise $2355 for San Francisco non-profits along the way!
