Chronic Problems

After this week’s federal raid of Oaksterdam University, the medical marijuana training school founded by Richard Lee, Mr. Lee decided to trade in his bong for a peace pipe. The possibility of major federal drug charges (and confiscation of his stock of mother plants) was enough to convince him to close the doors of the school.

Flight of the Festival

The Examiner fills us in on why some organizers think next year’s North Beach Festival should be held off of Washington Square Park’s grass and onto Columbus’ street.  Turns out, cement is a heck of a lot easier to take care of than grass.  I will say that the park does provide a nice ambiance but just let me know where the beer garden will be relocated and no one will get hurt.
