Christian Legal Society vs. Hastings Law School
So, apparently, here’s how it went: the Christian Legal Society says it’s being unfairly treated by Hastings, based on their religious beliefs. Hastings says they have a policy barring discrimination on, amongst other things, sexual orientation, and the Society has a policy of barring gays, lesbians, and anyone who “advocates or unrepentantly engages in sexual conduct outside of marriage between a man and a woman.” My favorite part - they’re at the Supreme Court of the United States of America, and this all started over a $250 travel reimbursement voucher. SERIOUSLY.
