Christian Legal Society vs. Hastings Law School

So, apparently, here’s how it went: the Christian Legal Society says it’s being unfairly treated by Hastings, based on their religious beliefs.  Hastings says they have a policy barring discrimination on, amongst other things, sexual orientation, and the Society has a policy of barring gays, lesbians, and anyone who “advocates or unrepentantly engages in sexual conduct outside of marriage between a man and a woman.”  My favorite part - they’re at the Supreme Court of the United States of America, and this all started over a $250 travel reimbursement voucher.  SERIOUSLY.

Right on Target

Shoppers, just think. This time next year - during the holiday season’s rush to buy gifts that you always put off to the last minute - can be done at Target in the Metreon! The Examiner gives us an early present and reports that Target is set to begin construction in January and open to your dollas in October of next year. Doesn’t solve my current present slacking status though. Better luck next year!
