Cheers!

After nearly more than two decades since the Central Freeway was torn down, the Board of Supervisors approved a plan to replace the vacant lots that sit so pretty (not) on Octavia Boulevard between Hayes and Linden streets.  Included in the plans are community art galleries, small eateries, and (drumroll, please) a German beer garden!  Danke, Supes, danke!

Never On Sunday

Matier and Ross and Willie Lewis Brown, Jr?  Yep - you gotta buy a Chron to read ‘em.  But here’s a preview: former Mayor Brown talks about who’s peeing on redwood trees at the Bohemian Grove (yeah, they do other things up there, as well), who is running for Mayor (whether he likes it or not), some of the backstory surrounding where the 49ers will be playing football a decade from now, movie reviews, a bunch of jokes, including one that makes fun of our friends in Oakland.  (Ouch.)  And Matier and Ross talk up a couple polls done on behalf of bullet trains and casino development, who’s running AC Transit, a Facebook post by a Supervisor, and how to fix Sacramento.  Buy a Chron and read up!
