Homework?!

The Examiner tell us why San Francisco parents are concerned about the amount of work their kids are bringing home to complete.  Of course, students should do their homework and be studious.  But come on, should a 9 year old really be spending 1 hour, 40 minutes hitting the books every night?  What ever happened to things like fun and having a childhood?

Not brave enough?

Jaws are being dropped about a recent decision to reward two San Francisco police officers.  While folks at the SFPD are shocked about the alleged politically motivated decision, I’m more shocked that their awards process is facilitated with a box of antique marbles.  Read and learn…

Liar, Liar, Pants on Fire

In my experience, people usually lie to get out of school, not into it.  (Who me?!  I swear I’ve got the flu this morning and it has nothing to do with Giants revelry last night.)  But over at the San Francisco Unified School District, tough measures are being enacted to punish parents who are lying about where they live to get their tykes into the SFUSD.  If you’re guilty, you’ve got until Nov. 20 before being saddled with a rather hefty fine.
