In a serious case of déjà vu, defense attorneys unveiled a video they claim shows an illegal search and seizure by the San Francisco Police Department, resulting in a drug case being dropped. Seriously, didn’t we just see this movie?
The Board of Supervisors has officially passed legislation opting start-up companies out of certain taxes should they go public. In related news, Facebook just informed me that six of my friends just bought a cow in Farmville. Coincidence? I think not.
You might remember that last year, Public Defender Jeff Adachi made allegations about misconduct by San Francisco police officers. If you think those allegations magically disappeared, think again. Apparently, a federal grand jury might now be getting involved. Yikes.
Supervisor Scott Wiener will introduce a resolution at tomorrow’s Board of Supes meeting to increase taxis during peak times. Pretty soon, taxis will be hailing you rather then the other way around.
The proposal to build a park around 17th and Folsom Streets has local business owners up in arms. They’d rather see a parking lot, not a park.
