ONE DAY EXAMINER BOYCOTT
There are fewer stories than usual today for a Monday Suspects. That’s because I’m not linking to the Examiner today, as a protest. (No, you’re not missing anything absolutely critical - the other nine Supervisors didn’t choose to join Campos and Chiu in the Assembly race, the bridge didn’t get re-renamed, and nobody legalized marijuana. Oh. Wait. I’m wrong about that last one.) But when I browsed through stories this morning to find them for you, every single Examiner story I opened up violated one of the key tenets of Internetiquette - an advertisement video started playing WITH THE SOUND ON.
Examiner, this isn’t OK. I’m against it. It can lead to workplace complexities, and you know that. Please tell your advertisers that you’re not going to do this any longer. In advance, I’m confident that I speak for everyone when I thank you for that - we’re grateful, honest.
But until then? Phooey on you.
